Slow seatbelt re-tractor cure

Postby montermahan - December 28th, 2016, 4:56 pm

My 2014 Escape with 30,xxx miles got where the front belt's was slow or wouldn't retract. My problem was a buildup of gunk on the top plastic guide, (inside the part that adjusts up and down). There was a buildup between the belt and that guide. I was able to fish a piece of belt sand paper between the belt and the guide and stroke it back and forth a few times. Fixed.
