You can go to a 245/75r16 without rubbing.

Hi all,

New here and still exploring. I'm seeing a lot of threads confirming that the 245/75r16's will work just fine. I just wanted to confirm that you are putting these on 16x7 rims and that these will fit without rubbing on a 2003 XLT.

There is a leveling kit install coming soon, already have most parts I need, but would like to make sure the tires will fit regardless.

Thanks all!

I've got 245/70 Falken Wildpeak A/T on XD 16x8 0 offset at stock height and they only rub ever so slightly turned all the way right. 1.5-2" strut block might clear it or a small spacer.

Just got Canuck Motorsports front and rear coil springs installed, and about to put on some 245/70R16 Cooper Discoverer AT3's on Pro Comp Serires 32 16x8 0mm offset rims.

Based on the lift I'm getting from the CM springs (measured ~1.5" in the front and ~1") I think these will not rub at all.

How far outside the fenders do our wheels stick out with your 16x8 0mm offset rims? I cant exactly tell from the first pic you linked to. I'm about to install a similar wheel setup, and am curious how they will look.

Also, have you had any issues with the wheel bearings, CV joints, or anything else, as a result of the heavier/greater offset rims and heavier tires?

Thanks!
