Daylight savings time???

Postby Jay2TheRescue - November 14th, 2012, 2:55 pm

I just noticed my forum time was off by an hour, so I checked my timezone, and it was correct. I then noticed that there was a setting to turn on/off DST. Isn't this supposed to happen automatically, or is that just how this forum software works, you have to manually turn DST on/off to display the correct times?

You are not the first person who has asked this question. Here is where I answered this question when Daylight Saving Time started. I have edited that response here for Daylight Saving Time not being in effect.

Hope that helps. :thumb:

Since Daylight Saving Time starts tomorrow here in the US, you may notice that the forum time is different than is shown on your computer.

Here is how to fix that.

You need to go to the User Control Panel and then choose the "Board Preferences" tab. Then click "Yes" at the spot shown.

Since Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 am for most of the US tomorrow morning, here is what to do if the time noted on the forum main screen is different from your computer's clock.

Here is how to fix that.

You need to go to the User Control Panel and then choose the "Board Preferences" tab. Then click "No" at the spot shown.

I hate daylight savings.

In the sprng, it's done for energy savings. In the fall, what's it for?
