Spotted! Escape Pick-up Truck

Postby MadMax - July 21st, 2014, 2:05 am

Spotted while perusing the interwebbs for something different in mods for our Es, I discovered this little E p-u truck. Although it seems to be a one of a kind for the obviously impracticality of it, I can't help but like it in a Ford's fantasy answer to the Subaru Brat kind of way

I like all of it, except for the crossbar on top.
Reminds me a lot of a Subaru Baja.

Way cool! The voices in my head are saying things like "drop the Sawzall and step away from the vehicle".

I'd like to see how the back was handled. Pretty fly though.

I was thinking the same thing, would you cut the hatch and add tailgate hinges or just weld it up and smooth over the seams?

If you zoom in on the picture it looks like there is a gap right above the tail light. My guess is that they turned it into a tail gate.

The only info I could find was it was done by DG Motorsports for SEMA 2004.
