Traded 2013 for 2017

Postby MissE - December 4th, 2016, 10:54 am

Hello All

Friday I traded in my 2013 in fro a 2017 and I think it was a bad idea. It feels alot like my 2013 Focus which I hated because of that stupd a$$$ automatic dual clutch thingy. And this auto stop thing feels like it may be alot of wear on the engin. GRRR

The Escape has a 6F35 transmission not a dual clutch like in the Focus (has that changed ?)

I also wonder if the radiator fan keeps or starts running (if needed) when auto start stop system kicks in

The auto-start is one reason I didn't get a 2017 Escape and went with a new Chevy Equinox v6 when my last lease was up. (Another reason was the v6). Someone in my office recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee with auto-start and hates it. Thanks to the government and their future MPG requirements, this will unfortunately be a very common feature in the near future. Hopefully you will be able to get used to it...

Yesterday (Sat.) I got stuck in some pretty bad traffic (there was a wreck on a major freeway, I was on the feeder, people were doing anything they could to get off the freeway which was now blocked and get on the feeder) I was on the accelerator then the brakes at least a couple dozen times, tell me a** (auto start/stop) has a delay feature :stop:
