Windscreen stone chip/crack DIY repair.

Postby AusEscape - November 20th, 2016, 12:14 am

I got a stone chip the other day.
A chip about the size of a pea with 4 small cracks. The biggest about 1/2 inch long.
It was suggested to me on another site to try DIY.
I got a RainX kit from the shop.
It was an easy process and I got good results.
You could do a few chips with one kit.
I put the leftover resin in the fridge.
I do this with tubes of super glue and it doesn't harden.
My wife couldn't find the chip after the repair and she knew where it was(as she was driving when it happened).

It is not letting me add photos I will try to add them as a comment.

It won't let me put the After photo on.
It looks like the before but you can't see the chip or cracks. Lol.
