Nice looking system. Have you been using it a long time? I am assuming the LPK display is a representation of your average fuel economy for the given tank in litres/100 km.

Hi Charles. I've had it a few years. I I originally got it for my other( now wifes) car in case the engine light came on as it cost me near $80 to be told oil pressure problem then same again to change oil pressure switch. Once I got this I did the same for a mate and got the same code changed his oil pressure switch boom fixed. Cost him about $35 and 2 beers.
So it is good if you are on the road and get a warning light so you can see if it is a serious thing or keep on motoring. I love DIY.
Which has not happened and touch wood won't because I am prepared.

I thought it was cool that you can get all this and more info as the car is running.
I was going to get some running stats probably take screen shots at different times as I want to do a cold air intake and extractors as well as skid plates to begin and see if this effects the stats.
Could be good to post before and after stats.
That is my plan and "I love it when a plan comes together".
Will see.
Yes it is litres per 100km actually haven't tried that part yet. I normally take km and litres when I fill up to keep an eye on it. (Curiosity)
It can be changed to talk American lol.
In long yes LPK is litres per 100km.
For the price it's hard to beat.
I normally keep it in my door with my wife's old Samsung phone with the app on it.
It was hard to find one to match iPhone and my Aussie car. Might be easier now that was a couple of years ago.
You wouldn't know it but I like talking about this thing.

This is the one I have:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1
Liked it so much, I bought one for my son for Christmas. He loves his too. :yahoo:

I have 3 apps; Torque (paid), FORScan (Demo) and FordSys (paid), all on the Android platform. I primarily use the Torque app most, but the other 2 are Ford specific and do things that Torque doesn't. I love the real time, anytime compared to a handheld scanner. I like this so much I sold my handheld scanner on eBay for $85...I paid $130 about 4 years earlier for it and used it ALOT. So I feel pretty good getting what I did for it. :thumb:

I have this one, and I love it. Reads all codes, even Ford specific modules.

OK Jay...I just bought ForScan Lite. Gimme something I can look for that you KNOW your adapter shows/reads, but that you KNOW/THINK a lessor module (like the one I linked to above) can't do. Just wanna do a check to see if it would be worth buying that $75 module compared to what my module can do. :thumb:

First off, get a full licence for ForScan. Its free. Then try to activate your DRL's. This requires that your adapter not only be able to read a Ford specific module, but write to it as well.

That OBDLink MX adapter can out of the box access the MS-CAN network, which as shown above, lets you write things. I don't think they have figured out the 2017 yet, so I haven't quite finished up hacking a USB OBDII adapter to connect to MS-CAN, but I did just figure out how to do it with my older ELM327 1.5a knock off that is 15 years old or older, and seems like it will work.

On my 2017 in Torque the app I have gauges for fun stuff like tire pressures, oil life remaining, boost, throttle position, IC temps, ambient temps. Still trying to figure out more that I can add or that it already has built in, or from the list of extended Ford PIDs it already has. A lot of them I have to convert to freedom units (F, PSI, MPH, etc).

I got a very low profile adapter, and one not so low profile but can disconnect the car connector and get more room that I leave plugged in. I don't think it will kill the battery, even if parked for a month, but the car is never parked for more than 10 hours. It doesn't have a light.

I have used Torque for awhile in my other cars, but they are older and do not provide as much information, but nice to graph O2 sensors, engine temps, fan speed and commanded speed, and the obvious getting of codes when it sets the CEL.
