I just hope it is not a harbinger of things to come... Domestic manufacturers first year vehicles have always been a little dicey and I was nervous about this when I ordered my 2013 (my first Ford and domestic vehicle in 15 years)... It's due August 13.

Hmm I havent checked the build date on my vehicle but when I asked the technician thats working on the other recall, he said I didnt have this issue. Which is weird to me because my foot grazes the side of the break from time to time. I think I should bring this to their attention

I ordered mine at the beginning of June so not sure when it would've been built. I've called Ford up to get an explanation of the issues that have been reported and have not heard back from them. Their communication have been so disappointing since I've put my deposit down.

I feel like walking away from the deal.

I had pretty good luck with the Ford reps I dealt with at the company. If you have just ordered, you will not be affected by the recalls. You may want to try calling them again and starting from scratch. They actually seemed to know more about my order than the dealer! You can also view your sticker online. Check my other posts to see hoe to do that if you want and you know your vin. ;)

Got my Escape back finally. They fixed the Trim/Carpet. I have more room now for my big foot!

Thats one thing i like about ford at least they acknowledge a problem and than fix it.
Unlike toyota where they denied there was a problem until people were getting into accidents before doing anything
