Since you've already have gone this far with your paint job, why not take it all the way and add these to your doors and/or hood?

I probably won't go that far with the paint job. :)

I've spraybombed cars before and it doesn't come out very good. This time I'm trying house paint, so far it's going on more even and the texture with the roller isn't bad. The color I chose I didn't want a glossy clear coat, so spray cans or house paint should work. Biggest negative is the cure time could be almost a month.

Something like this: The stuff in blue is only going to be 1/16" (16ga) steel.

Some pics from this evening. Front bumper will get paint too. I'm waiting for the fog lights so I can cut the holes first. :)

Not sure on wheels yet. I'll probably spray the wheels to match and see what that looks like before I buy some 15x7 steelies.

I got the fog lights installed and working. I also tinted them yellow with some leftover tint that I had.

Painted the bumper and sprayed the grille with a slightly different color.

That paint really doesn't look half bad. Nice! Did you wire the fogs to the parking circuit?

It's a 20-foot paint job. Good enough for me. I added a relay off the battery with a 10 amp fuse for the fog lights. I'm using the original wiring for the switch so they only work when the parking lights are on.

I still have to paint the roof rack. I think I will spray paint that though.

And I need a better welder for the bumper my 90-amp harbor freight welder isn't enough. In the past I had a buddy weld the thick stuff for me, but he is busy building a house so I guess now is a good time to buy a better welder that I have been putting off for too long. I like the Eastwood 135-amp mig/flux for $300 it should be just enough to do 3/16 without going with a big 240 volt welder.
