That 2005 does not have a Smart Junction Box, but it does have a Generic Electronics Module

Hello Torrie:
My GF has an 02 Escape Vin#1FMYU03162KA62811 it has been having alarm, doorlock problems and now the thing just died. took it into the ford dealer and hopefully tomorrow morning it will be done and running again. BUT they told her that the GEM has a short in it so the door locks still will not work with the fobs. I have found a couple of new GEM modules YL8Z-14B205- AB AND -EB AND -DB AND ONE -EA. I am not certain but do the ones that end in "B" go into Mazda Tributes with "A" being the oldest "D" the mid and "E" the latest version or is that for the no power doorlocks, power doorlocks and power doorlocks with keyless entry? Or what? The vehicle has Power Doorlocks with fobs and no keypad entry.

Thank you
Ted

Which spark plugs for a 2008 Mariner 3.0L v6? I entered my vin into FordParts.com and got a choice of two.

SP-417 3.0L 183 CID 6 Cylinders; Plug Material: Platinum, Gap: .054, Type - Standard Service Plg
SP-491 3.0 V6 24V Dual Over Head Cam EFI Modular ; Service Plug May Differ From Original

Is one copper and the other platinum? does anyone know if it matters?

Hi All

Im looking for the part number for the AC Compressor on my 2006 3.0XLT (Australian spec) or the clutch hub part number (if its the same as the US part number then its 19D786).

Thanks

According to a cross-reference to Autolite plugs
SP-417 is iridium/platinum (XP-104)
SP-491 is platinum center electrode only (AP-103)
The number may also indicate a different heat range, IIRC
