Re: Part Number Requests

I am about to replace the front struts on my 2001 Escape. the lower mount bolts are not rusted badly, but most replacement videos I see mention that about 1/2 the time, the lower strut mounting bolts (2 each side) break when removed. So, just to be safe and not have to leave the house, while such a greasy mess, I figure I would just get 4 new bolts to replace them before I start.
I can't find out what size or type I need to source these at the local hardware stores, or the part # for direct replacement.
So, if anyone knows, please post the info.
Thank you

Is that the Ford part #, or the bolt type to outsource?
As you can tell, I am not very knowledgeable about this.
I think they are hardened bolts, and I THINK they 18 mm. I haven't started this project yet, way too hot and humid until late next week.
thank you.

Both.

IMO, you're better off buying a can of good penetrating oil than new hardware.

Looking for the complete part number for this storage net. It was spied on a new build 2014 Escape. My interior is black leather.
??1Z-99519C68-AA I think other vehicles like the Transit Connect have them.

It's in the diagram, but you can't buy it from fordparts.com

I'd say go into your local dealer and see if the parts guy will dig for it.

The pigtail is WPT-692 and lists around $40.

Or you can go here and get the 898 socket for about $5

Thanks. I'll go for the non-WPT socket and try one of them. Actually less expensive from other sources with free shipping. Going to try some amber bulbs while I'm at it. Not that I'll be driving it a lot after daughter get it but I see a lot better with amber fogs.
