2007 Mariner trailer harness

Postby Dillon - January 9th, 2017, 9:52 am

Hi everyone I recently bought a 2007 mariner and decided to join this site. But recent I had a wiring issue involving trailer lights. I bought the Hopkins 40455 trailer adapter to pull from the factory harness at the rear bumper on my Mariner. My test light shows the ground is good, and the parking lights have 12 volts power but the turn signals and brake lights only have .5 volts when they are applied. I am having the exact same problem as this guy in the link viewtopic.php?f=13&t=17281&p=270364&hilit=Trailer+wiring#p270364
Any help is greatly appreciated

Sorry this took so long. I was unable to unearth info on how to correct this issue.
Hectic time of year at my job (Hospital), which is why I haven't been on in so long.
I had hoped a more technically/mechanically inclined City member would have hopped in as well but that wasn't the case. Sorry for the late response and inability to answer your inquiry. I apologize

Anyone else that might know what's going on, I'm still having this problem. Im now getting .23 constant volts to 2 of the wires and .5 volts when the turn signals/brake lights are engaged and the running lights wire still has 12 volts with running lights on.
