we have a 05 Tribute 2.3 that has spun connecting rod bearing on # one. I was it the process of switching out the bearings and having trouble finding new bolts for the connecting rod ( supposed to replace them when doing this).
I wondered the difference/similarities between the 2 engines and now after reading your post I'm gonna go for the swap to a much better engine and get a 2.0. And get rid of the bearing killer 2.3.
I plan on finding a low mileage 2.0 from a 2004 to a 2007 Do you have any other pointers?
