Glass housing/reflector Fog Lights?

Postby HollywoodEscape - December 21st, 2016, 3:51 pm

Has anyone come across glass housing fog lights for our fogs? 2008-2012.

Seems the plastic ones with the plastic reflectors really suck...I am in the middle of either buying higher end fog halogen bulbs (Philips brand) or going to LED 5202 bulbs. But from what I understand, plastic reflector housings SUCK.

my 1995 Nissan 200sx had 50watt fogs in glass housing with Nokya 2500k bulbs and they illuminated the road like crazy and didn't blind anyone. Our escapes are 35 watts and is very poor at illumination as far as I can tell. I even bought some Nokya 2500K 5202 bulbs for mine and it was GARBAGE compared to the Nokya's I had in my Nissan.

I know on my '07 Freestyle they are glass. Might want to see if they fit the Escape location.

As far as I know they don't make glass housing fog lights for 08-12 Escapes. I installed a pair of Morimoto xb LED's from The Retrofit source and couldn't be happier
