Can't say I've heard of anyone doing this. The work that'd have to go into this swap would be a lot and you'd have to source out a good amount of 05-07 parts. It'd be better to just keep the column shifter as it.

The column shifter was the only feature of the 1st generation that I really liked. I'd leave it.

I can understand why one wants to get rid of it in a RHD version after I once knocked it into Reverse at 80 KPH reaching for the radio controls. I immediately returned it to D and there was no damage. Thank god for electronic transmissions. In the old days, that would have been disaster, I assume.

Most people do prefer it on the column, it frees up a lot of center console space. Don't change it :stop:
